Nineteen of the Russian's 21 titles have been earned on hardcourt
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev claimed his initial title for over two years with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a torrid year, winning just one match at the big events and undergoing a setback at the American major.
His inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serving in particular - caused him dropping out of the elite rankings and eventually parting ways with long-time mentor his previous coach.
Currently working with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily improved in the recent weeks - culminating in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over opponent Moutet.
This represents the player's maiden title since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt from March of that year.
Victory also signifies Medvedev has achieved 21 victories at 21 different competitions.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my children together, so to secure a trophy is really nice," stated world number 14 the champion.
"This victory is in tribute of my younger daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I got when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six finals, including in the German tournament previously this season.
The player's counter-punching play style and frequent emotional displays on the tennis court had led observers to question if his skill to play at the elite level was finished.
However the player has altered his approach in recent weeks, making an effort to approach the net and compete aggressively, supported by an better service.
Medvedev recovered from a deficit in the first set against the challenging Frenchman, securing 4 of the final five points to gain the advantage.
The pair traded break points in the middle set before Moutet, attempting for his first tour title, took control to push for a decider.
Moutet rescued 4 early opportunities in a competitive deciding set before Medvedev won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, he secured victory with a point at the front of the court, with his opponent incapable to handle a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
